186

We are an architectural lighting design firm in Denver, Colorado, with a portfolio of lighting design projects that range from mountain retreats, art collector’s estates, city lofts and high-end commercial spaces. Whether we are lighting a single painting or an entire residence, our designs complement the art, architecture and interior design of every project. Although the majority of our projects are residences in the mountain resort communities of Aspen and Vail,186 has completed projects across the continent from Long Island, St. Lucia, Montana and Maui.

At 186, we value open communication and collaboration with all construction trades during each project. Our design philosophy is to adapt our style to each individual project. As lighting technologies rapidly evolve, we are in the position to continuously adapt our design process to increase energy efficiency without sacrificing beauty or performance.

Since our inception in 2001, 186 has designed lighting systems for exclusive residences in every region of North America. Our work can regularly be seen in local and national magazines including Architectural Digest, Modern in Denver, Dwell, Timber Frame Homes, Luxury Living, Luxe, Architecture and Design of the West, Ski Magazine and Aspen Magazine.
